CLEAR BY DESIGN
ActuallyWorks VR Player360 privacy.
This policy explains how Robert Wierzbicki handles information in ActuallyWorks VR Player360 and on this website.
Short version
ActuallyWorks VR Player360 works without an account, advertising, analytics, or telemetry. Our approach
Robert Wierzbicki makes small, focused software. The app is designed to keep its work on your Mac and to collect as little information as possible. This policy applies to the ActuallyWorks VR Player360 Mac app and this website.
Information the app collects
ActuallyWorks VR Player360 does not require an account and does not collect, sell, or share personal information from inside the app. It does not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics, telemetry, or tracking pixels.
Video files and device data
ActuallyWorks VR Player360 reads the video files you choose to open, including video metadata and, when needed for projection detection, selected frames. This processing happens on your Mac. The app stores local preferences and cached projection-analysis results so it can remember settings and avoid repeating work. Some local settings and cache keys include the selected file's path, size, and modification time. These data are not sent to us or used to build a profile about you.
Local compatibility playback
When a HEVC video needs compatibility handling, the app may serve a virtual version of the selected local file through a short-lived HTTP server bound only to 127.0.0.1 on your Mac. It uses a random session token and serves only the active file to the app's own playback pipeline. It does not expose the file to the internet or other network hosts, and the server stops when it is no longer needed.
